Kenosha Pastor Charged with Felonies for Sending Himself Nude Photos of Church Member’s Wife

Allegations Against Gabriel E. Mills

A former pastor at Journey Church in Kenosha, Gabriel E. Mills, aged 41, faces two felony charges related to capturing intimate representations. The pastor allegedly used a man’s cellphone during a group meeting to send himself nude photographs of the man’s wife without her consent.

Police Investigation and Charges

According to a criminal complaint, the husband reported the incident to the Kenosha Police Department after discovering the unauthorized actions by Mills. An analysis of the phone revealed that the pastor had used it to send the photos of the man’s wife to himself using messaging apps. Subsequently, police found incriminating evidence on Mills’ phone when a search warrant was executed.

Response from Journey Church

Following the incident, Mills was terminated from his position as a “Guest Experience Pastor” at Journey Church. The church’s leadership expressed shock and emphasized their commitment to high moral standards. They are providing counseling and pastoral care to those affected and respecting their privacy during this challenging time.

Legal Proceedings and Community Support

Mills appeared in court where bail was set at $7,500, with restrictions imposed on contact with the church, the affected couple, and possession of devices.
