First Responders from Middle Tennessee Assist in East Tennessee Search Efforts After Floods

Search and Rescue Mission Underway

A team of first responders from Maury County, Columbia, Spring Hill, Mt. Pleasant, and Lawrence County deploy to assist in search efforts following catastrophic flooding in East Tennessee.

Reports indicate that over 30 individuals are currently missing, with four tragic deaths reported in the affected areas. The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed that two of the fatalities were a result of the severe weather conditions in Johnson and Unicoi Counties.

Food Airdropped to Stranded Victims

Infrastructure Damage Hampers Relief Efforts

Due to the extensive infrastructure damage in Unicoi County, the Maury County Fire Department has initiated food airdrops to assist the flood victims who are stranded in the region.
