Komainu Acquires Propine Holdings in First Expansion Move

Komainu Makes Strategic Acquisition

Komainu, the cryptocurrency custodian supported by leading financial institution Nomura Holdings Inc., has announced its acquisition of Propine Holdings Pte Ltd., a fellow player in the Singaporean market.

Approval Pending from MAS

The acquisition of Propine is subject to approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, a crucial step for Komainu to solidify its presence in the region.

Strategic Business Expansion in Asia

This move is part of Komainu’s broader strategy to expand its operations in Asia, tapping into the diverse and growing economies in the region.

Komainu, under the leadership of co-Chief Executive Officer Paul Frost-Smith, views the acquisition of Propine as a significant milestone in its growth journey. The deal, once finalized, will provide Komainu with a coveted Capital Market Services license in Singapore. Frost-Smith emphasized the importance of this license, stating that it is a critical element in the company’s expansion plans.
