Brazilian Businessman with Links to Criminal Group Shot Dead at São Paulo Airport
Deadly Attack at Guarulhos Airport
A Brazilian businessman, known to have connections with a notorious criminal organization, was fatally shot at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo. Antônio Vinicius Gritzbach, who had recently struck a deal with local authorities to share critical information about the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) gang, fell victim to the violence.
Security Footage Captures the Assault
Security footage from the airport captured the moment when two attackers, armed with sub-machine guns, ambushed Gritzbach outside the terminal. Despite attempting to flee, the former PCC member was mercilessly gunned down at the scene. Gritzbach, a renowned cryptocurrency expert, was in the midst of disclosing his involvement in money laundering activities for the gang.
PCC’s International Drug Trade
The PCC, established in the early 1990s, has grown to become a prominent drug trafficking organization in Brazil, raking in nearly $1 billion annually from global cocaine distribution. Reports suggest the group’s reach extends beyond Latin America, with a significant presence in European countries like Portugal, where it is believed to have a substantial network of associates.
