Ethereum ICO Participant Awakens After Nearly Three Years, Deposits $4.86 Million in ETH
ICO Participant Resurfaces
An Ethereum (ETH) initial coin offering (ICO) participant recently emerged from a three-year dormancy, depositing 1,555 ETH worth $4.86 million into Coinbase on Sunday, as reported by Lookonchain.
Staggering Increase in Value
The Ethereum wallet in question received 6,292 ETH during the 2014 ICO, which was valued at $1,951 at the time. This amount has now surged to more than $20.15 million, showcasing a remarkable increase of 1,032,703%.
Whale Movements in the Market
A significant whale, previously holding 398,891 ETH worth $1.28 billion, recently sold 46,853 ETH for 138.8 million USDC since November 7th. The average selling price was $2,920, according to Lookonchain. On the other hand, some whales are actively accumulating Ethereum.
Recent ETH Transactions
Lookonchain also noted the withdrawal of 12,499 ETH worth $40 million from Binance by four new wallets on Sunday. Ethereum is currently trading at $3,316, experiencing an increase of over 3.5% in the past day and more than 37% in the past week.
Despite these recent gains, Ethereum remains over 32% down from its all-time high of $4,878 set in November 2021.
