Realm of Historia Launches NFT Collection Highlighting Armenia’s Carahunge Site
Celebrating Rich Cultural Heritage
Realm of Historia, a platform dedicated to safeguarding cultural heritage through blockchain technology, has unveiled its inaugural NFT collection focusing on Armenia’s historic Carahunge site.
The primary goal is to establish a digital repository of our shared human history, as stated by Realm of Historia Co-Founder Ivan Krylov in a recent interview.
The NFT collection, titled “Realm of Historia: Carahunge X,” sheds light on the cultural and historical importance of Carahunge, a prehistoric arrangement of stone circles and menhirs dating back over 7,500 years. Archaeologists speculate that the site, known as the “speaking stones,” might have served as an astronomical observatory. Possessors of Realm of Historia’s flagship NFT collection gain entry to a developing loyalty program offering perks with local and, eventually, global partners like museums, tours, and hotels, Krylov elaborated.
Revolutionizing Cultural Preservation
Realm of Historia leverages blockchain technology to ensure transparency and accountability in cultural preservation initiatives. By utilizing decentralized systems, the platform enables backers to monitor how their donations directly impact the conservation of historical sites. Krylov emphasized that blockchain rectifies historical inefficiencies affecting non-governmental organizations (NGOs), such as the necessity for enhanced transparency.
According to Krylov, the platform’s open funding model guarantees that proceeds from NFT sales are channeled towards conserving, exploring, and restoring historically significant locations.
Moreover, Realm of Historia collaborates with local artists to raise awareness about the importance of cultural preservation, striving to make historical sites more accessible and engaging to the public. By incorporating their artwork into NFTs, the platform offers these artists financial backing and global exposure.
Empowering Global Cultural Celebration
Co-founder Ivan Grantovsky affirmed that Realm of Historia is dedicated to democratizing its approach and cultivating a world where cultural heritage is universally revered. The Carahunge X project is part of a broader initiative to digitize and promote historical sites. As the collection expands, Realm of Historia is eyeing new territories, partnering with local artists and cultural authorities to spotlight other historical landmarks.
Every NFT sale contributes to critical initiatives, such as infrastructure enhancements and research, while collaborating with local artists aids in bridging cultural heritage with contemporary digital art, Krylov noted.
Grantovsky underlined the team’s commitment to effecting lasting change and aiming to extend its cultural preservation methodology to a wider audience, while onboarding like-minded organizations and cultural institutions to uphold its mission. Through Web3 technologies like blockchain and NFTs, the platform seeks to safeguard the future of cultural preservation while propelling local artists onto the global stage.
