Shiba Inu Developer Urges Trump to Appoint Blockchain Advisor

The lead developer behind Shiba Inu, known as Shytoshi Kusama, has suggested that President-elect Donald Trump should consider appointing a blockchain advisor to his administration. This recommendation comes amidst reports that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is exploring the implementation of a blockchain-based election system.

Kusama’s rationale for this proposal stems from concerns surrounding a rumored blockchain election platform called “eVote,” currently under consideration by Trump’s team. This system reportedly aims to leverage partnerships with prominent blockchain platforms like Cardano, Hyperledger, Hedera, and X to establish a nationwide electronic voting and identity verification solution. The primary goal of eVote is to enhance election integrity and combat fraud by mandating its adoption across all US states.

However, Kusama emphasized the crucial importance of integrating Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to ensure the security of voter data against external threats. Without FHE, voter details could be vulnerable to decryption attempts by malicious entities, potentially resulting in widespread chaos. Kusama stressed the necessity of quantum-proof encryption to safeguard voter information both on and off the blockchain.

In light of these challenges, Kusama called on Trump to appoint a dedicated blockchain advisor who could navigate the complex intersection of technology and public policy. This strategic move could facilitate the development of robust solutions that address the evolving landscape of blockchain technology.

Notably, industry leaders like Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, have expressed interest in collaborating with governmental bodies to establish regulatory frameworks that promote blockchain innovation. If Trump were to heed Kusama’s advice, it would align with his recent engagement with prominent figures in the crypto space, such as Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Overall, the appointment of a blockchain advisor could signal a proactive approach to leveraging emerging technologies for the benefit of governmental processes. This collaborative effort between industry experts and policymakers could pave the way for a more secure and transparent electoral system in the future.
